The position is to be filled as soon as possible and is available for full-time or part-time employment. It is initially limited to 12 months. Compensation is based on the classification regulations of the collective agreement for public service employees in the federal states (TV-L) and, depending on personal qualifications, may be assigned to pay grade E9.
The Professorship of Medical Systems Biology at the University Cancer Center (UCC/NCT) Dresden is one of the world-leading research groups in the field of therapeutic genome editing. On the one hand, we work on novel recombinase-based systems that enable precise and safe genomic modifications independently of endogenous repair mechanisms. In parallel, we are developing CRISPR-based base editors, which have shown promising results in cancer research for correcting oncogenic mutations. Our work thus spans a broad spectrum of innovative technologies that are pioneering for both genetic diseases and translational oncology.
