The position (75%, E13 according to the Collective Agreement for the Public Service of the States (TV-L)) is available from 01.05.2025 and initially limited until 31.12.2026 (with the prospect of extension).
The IRTG 2773 is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and is a structured international graduate programme established between the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology (IoPPN) at King’s College London. It investigates risk factors and pathomechanisms of affective disorders to improve prevention, early detection and treatment.
Within the unique environment of the transcampus®, young scientists are trained in the field of translational research on affective disorders, have access to an outstanding scientific infrastructure and will work in an interdisciplinary and international environment.
The position is to be filled at the “Early Recognition Center e Early Detection and Intervention Centre” at TUD and the Lab “Preventive Psychiatry” of Prof. P. Fusar Poli at IoPPN at Kings College London. The candidate will work in the project “Early detection of young at-risk individuals for bipolar disorders” together with Prof. A. Pfennig, Prof. J. Martini (both TU Dresden) and Prof. P. Fusar-Poli (IoPPN, King’s College London). The project aims to develop a harmonised multi-level assessment and biomarker package, with supporting training material for the early detection of bipolar disorders. The main deliverable will be a tailored multi-level assessment package which integrates clinical, neurobiological, cognitive-emotional and social-behavioural factors as well as resilience/ protective factors, and associated training material. Your tasks:
- Taking responsibility for the above described project
- follow-up assessments of study participants of the Early-BipoLife cohort
- development of a comprehensive clinical risk assessment tool
- development of a training package
- Actively taking part in the IRTG curriculum
Your profile:
- University degree (master or diploma) in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or related disciplines
- Experience in conducting standardized diagnostic interviews and assessments
- Experience in analysing large data sets
- excellent written and spoken language skills in English (C1) and German (at least A2) Keen interest in cognitive-behavioural, integrative and solution-focuses therapy approaches
