Research Associate (m/f/d) for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
Research Associate (m/f/d)
at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
The position is to be filled starting 01.01.2026, part-time with 26 hours per week, limited to 3 years. Remuneration is based on the salary classification regulations of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TV-L) and, subject to personal qualifications, can be in pay group E13.
In the Cognitive Neurophysiology research group, you will work in a diverse international team with project responsibility to investigate various aspects of action control using different neuroscientific methods. The aim of this doctoral position is to experimentally examine within a DFG-funded project how age and biological sex (as well as sex hormones) modulate the effects of varying intensities of alcohol consumption on cognitive-behavioral performance and the associated neurophysiological (EEG) correlates.
The effects of high-dose alcohol consumption, including binge drinking, are insufficiently researched in young people and women, who are likely particularly vulnerable to the immediate and long-term consequences. Expanding current knowledge about these factors is an important step to better understand, predict, and individually counteract the mechanisms leading to impairments related to binge drinking throughout the lifespan.
