Within the Collaborative Research Centre/Transregio (CRC/TRR) 205 “The adrenal: central relay in health and disease”, a position is advertised starting at 1. March 2026 initially limited for 3 years.

 

In the sub-project A04: „Novel diagnostic, therapeutic and monitoring options in congenital adrenal hyperplasia“ we will use novel mouse models for a better understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms in congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) and to develop new therapeutic options for the disorder. In this project we will investigate the fertility disturbances and the immunophenotype of the CAH mouse models. Furthermore, the mouse strains will be used to develop and to test novel therapies with steroid-producing cells deriving from human embryonic stem cells. The main goal is the development of personalized treatment options for CAH patients in order to improve life quality of the patients.

 

Your profile:

  • Master/Diploma – or equivalent degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedicine or closely related subject
  • Expertise in molecular and cell biology
  • Practical experience with animal experiments or readiness to conduct animal experimants 
  • Structured, careful and goal-oriented way of working
  • High motivation, flexibility as well as innovative and creative thinking 
  • A high degree of personal commitment and interest in an academic career
  • Team working skills, interdisciplinary cooperation
  • Excellent communication skills, both in verbal and written English
