Postdoctoral Position in T Cell Immunology

 

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, either full-time or part-time, initially limited to 36 months. Classification is carried out according to the classification regulations of the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L) and, if the personal requirements are met, classification in pay group E13 is possible. 

The research group led by Professor Roger Geiger at the Institute for Immunology, Medical Faculty of the Technical University Dresden, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team and contribute to innovative research in T cell receptor repertoire analysis and the selective depletion of autoreactive T cells for therapeutic applications. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and apply methods for T cell receptor (TCR) repertoire profiling using patientderived T cells from individuals with autoimmune diseases.
  • Design and produce reagents for the selective depletion of defined T cell clonotypes.
  • Conduct cell culture experiments and, where applicable, in vivo experiments using mouse models.
  • Present research findings at scientific meetings and publish results in peer-reviewed journals
  • Mentor junior researchers by providing technical and scientific training. 

Qualifications

 

  • Demonstrated experience in immunology, molecular biology, or CRISPR-based technologies.
  • Experience in handling and engineering primary T cells and proficiency in molecular biology techniques is a plus.
  • A strong scientific background and a passion for developing innovative therapeutic strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of independent research
