at the Institute of Anatomy
The position is to be filled as soon as possible on a full-time basis, initially limited to 24 months. A long-term collaboration is desired. Remuneration is based on the classification regulations of the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L) depending on the personal requirements, classification in pay grade E13 is possible.
The Institute of Anatomy (Director: Prof. Mirko HH Schmidt) is dedicated to research and teaching aimed at understanding the human body. Using neuroscientific techniques, we study the central nervous system and its diseases, thereby deepening our understanding of the brain and contributing to the treatment of patients.
This position requires your full expertise – Your responsibilities:
- Contribute to an interdisciplinary team focused on the research and treatment of brain tumors
- Apply molecular and cellular biology techniques
- Conduct and analyze rodent-based experimental models
- Perform and support transcriptomics analyses (single-cell and spatial)
- Perform and support proteomics analyses using mass spectrometry
A perfect fit – Your profile:
- Successfully completed degree in a life science field
- Completed PhD in a life science discipline
- In-depth research experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, neuroscience, or cell biology
- Preferably experience with rodent models and/or transcriptomics/proteomics analyses
- Strong skills in writing scientific publications and securing third-party funding
- Social competence, teamwork ability, independence, flexibility, and computer skills
