at the Center for Membrane Biochemistry and Lipid Research
Research position as a doctoral candidate focusing on membrane biochemistry and lipid analysis, as well as on myocardial infarction, as part of the research project “ Role of macrophage ferroptosis in myocardial infarction ” within the DFG-funded research group “ Modulation of the innate immune response in the early phase of myocardial infarction (ETNA).”
The position is available starting September 1, 2026, on a part-time basis (26 hours per week) for a fixed term of four years. Remuneration is based on the German public sector collective agreement (TV-L) and may be classified in pay grade E13, depending on personal qualifications and eligibility.
Your Responsibilities:
- Mass spectrometry-based lipidomics
- LC-MS/MS analyses and lipid annotation
- Mass spectrometric imaging (MS Imaging)
- Data analysis and integration
Your Profile:
- Master’s degree in chemistry or biochemistry
- Knowledge in the field of lipids and lipid metabolism
- Practical experience in mass spectrometry is an advantage
